I set about
In search of consciousness.
To define,
To delineate,
Whole of it.
Looking inside each
Gyri and sulci.
In search of consciousness.
To define,
To delineate,
Whole of it.
Looking inside each
Gyri and sulci.
I searched the white,
I searched the grey,
And all that matter.
I searched the grey,
And all that matter.
When I abandoned the search,
‘It’ seeped in.
Like they rightly say
When you look deep inside
Consciousness,
Consciousness,
Looks deep inside you.
‘It’ seeped in.
Like they rightly say
When you look deep inside
Consciousness,
Consciousness,
Looks deep inside you.

About the Author

Ganesh Singh is working as a senior resident orthopaedic surgeon in the department of orthopaedics, Govt. Medical College, Haldwani (Uttarakhand), India. He considers literary work an extension of his personality. Apart from performing his clinical duties, and social work like in health camps, he finds solace when immersed in good literature. Jotting down thoughts whenever he finds his creative juices flowing have been his precious and cherishable moments. He prays that the Almighty shower him with joy that comes from a satisfied patient and a satisfied self.
